Act blocking and rehearsal tonight!

We are going to run through blocking for act 1 and possibly some of 2 tonight.


Costume Hunt? I went to Wal-mart this morning and I can cross the mens PJ's off my list. Hanes brand had just simple blue striped PJ's with the pants and button down shirt for about $14.

Still haven't found the suspenders yet. The ones at Wal-mart are to thick and modern looking for the show (Dockers brand).

Need a tux too but I have been told that someone has one for me so I don't have to look for that too THANK GOD!

Want to find some brown patent leather mary janes with heel for the first scene too and am looking for those!

So so far I have the following for costumes:

For the first-second scene act 1: Brown Tweed Coat, leather music bag, 30's style day dress.

For the cassel audition scene 3: 3 piece goldish color tweed looking suit, men's white dress shirt, tie, tweed fedora.

For Le jazz hot, I have the beaded headress (Think Elizabeth Taylor), dress being made by Sumi!!!

For Louie Seize I have a Marie Antoinette costume provided by MSU (they used it for the show "Rivals" that they just finished this past weekend! If not that I was going to be in corset styled boustier(sp?) and skirt on stage.

Silky purple button down PJ's for the hotel act 2.

(Costumes for the actual dance numbers are being done by a WONDERFUL lady who does awesome work! and I can't wait to see what she has for me)

UPDATE!
Ended up being a music rehearsal for the principals and chorus tonight. We went over Victor/victoria and parts of Le Jazz Hot.

Tomorrow is act rehearsal and I saw frames being built! I'll take pictures tomorrow ... SET time!!!!
